Sweet Potato Waffle Bun Burger

Yield: ~5 waffle buns (about 2–3 burgers worth depending on size)

Sweet Potato Waffle Buns:

Ingredients

• 2 sweet potatoes (cooked + mashed)
• 2 eggs
• 1 tsp garlic powder
• 1 tsp onion powder
• 1 tsp paprika
• Salt + pepper

Instructions

  1. Peel and cook sweet potatoes (boil, bake, or microwave until soft).

  2. Mash until smooth.

  3. Mix in eggs + seasonings until fully combined.

  4. Preheat mini waffle maker and spray lightly with oil.

  5. Scoop mixture into waffle maker and cook until golden and crisp on the edges.

  6. Repeat — should yield about 5 waffle buns total.

Burger Patties:

Ingredients

• 1 lb ground beef (85–90% lean)
• Garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
• Salt + pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix beef with seasonings.

  2. Form into 2–3 patties.

  3. Cook in a skillet or cast iron over medium-high heat for 3–5 minutes per side.

  4. Add cheese if desired during last minute of cooking.

Homemade Ranch:

Ingredients

• 1 cup Greek yogurt
• 1 ranch seasoning packet (or 1–2 tbsp seasoning mix)
• Splash of water or milk to thin (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mix Greek yogurt and ranch seasoning until smooth.

  2. Add a splash of liquid if you want it more drizzle-like.

  3. Chill for 5–10 minutes for best flavor.

Assembly:

  1. Use 2 sweet potato waffle buns per burger.

  2. Add burger patty.

  3. Drizzle or spread ranch generously.

  4. Add lettuce, tomato, pickles, or any toppings you like.

  5. Top with second waffle bun and enjoy.
